DOG GROOMING
All dogs regardless of breed require regular grooming to keep their coat in the best condition. The type and regularity of grooming required will depend on your dogs breed, coat type and condition. All of our grooming services include a free consultation, visual health check, thorough wash, dry and brush along with a nail clip and ear clean.
DOG GROOMING SERVICES
PUPPY GROOM
Introducing your puppy to grooming from an early age is a vital part of puppy training. We aim to provide a stress free service and allow additional time for your puppy to play and explore our grooming salon so that they associate grooming with fun.
Depending on the breed, the introductory groom will include a wash, dry, brush, nail trim, and ear clean for short haired breeds with additional trimming of hygiene areas, paw pads, legs, skirt and face for longer haired breeds.
MINI GROOM
We understand that grooming your dog can be challenging or overwhelming but we are here to help. Our mini groom service is perfect for in between full grooms and helps to maintain your dogs healthy coat.
This service includes all the necessary parts of the groom such as a wash, dry, brush, hygiene trim, pad trim and nail trim. A tidy of paws, ears and eyes is also included. We recommend this service in between full grooms predominantly for curly coated breeds or for those dogs that find a full groom too overwhelming.
HANDSTRIP
Our handstripping service includes everything a full groom does except that we pluck the outer guard hairs from the follicle by hand instead of using clippers or trimmers. These older dull hairs are easy to pull out and by doing so they leave room for new stronger hairs to grow through. This ensures that the coat will have a fuller, shinier texture and a more vibrant colour.
Handstipping is a technique used predominantly on wire haired breeds.
TEETH CLEAN
Dental disease affects approximately 80% of dogs by the time they reach 3 years old. Animals cannot communicate when they are plagued by severe toothache, therefor preventative care is a must to prevent tartar, gingivitis and periodontitis, which can lead to tooth loss.
Using ultrasonic technology with the EmmiPet toothbrush, we remove plaque, prevent tartar, promote healthy gums, kill bacteria and freshen your dogs breath. With this service, you can achieve the most effective dental hygiene for your dog without the need for anaesthetic.
FULL GROOM
Regular grooming is an essential part of your dogs health and wellbeing and is recommended every 4 to 12 weeks depending on your dogs breed, condition and coat type.
A full groom is great for breeds with a double, silky, long or curly coat and includes a thorough wash, brush, blow dry, nail clip, ear clean and any trimming or scissoring to breed standard, owners preference or for the welfare of your dog.
WASH, DRY, DESHED
A wash, dry and de-shed is the perfect service for short or smooth coated breeds allowing you to enjoy less hair and bad odours in your home.
This service helps maintain a healthy coat and skin by thoroughly cleansing your pet, removing dead hairs and massaging the skin to promote circulation and distribution of the coats natural oils.
A nail trim and ear clean is also included.
NAIL CLIP
Long nails are prone to damage which can be very painful and require veterinary treatment. When a dog stands or walks on a long-clawed paw it puts pressure on the wrong parts of the foot, causing pain, discomfort and joint issues.
Nail clips are included free in all of our services or can be booked as a separate service for a one off pedicure.
SPA SERVICES
All dogs are different and may require a special treatment. We offer a number of additional services to make your dogs groom extra special. From a variety of shampoos to a mud bath, paw and nose balm, tear stain remover and nail filing, we are here to pamper your pooch.
